Headaches from Being Frightened

After a century, I’ve finally managed to create a new post. =))

Our classes were announced suspended today not because of bagyong Kabayan, but because of the Hanging Habagat. (Maybe it was really a strong one. Lol, I am not good in weather forecasts.)

Last night, the loud thunders and lightnings woke me up in the middle of a cannot-be-remembered dream. I was really so scared that I was hiding behind my mommy’s back so I won’t be able to have a glimpse of the “light” coming from them. It was really freakin’ loud. :[ But I was happy though, because God answered my prayers eventually (to stop the lightnings!). :”>

At maybe 7 am today, I was really feeling relaxed because there were no classes. So, I’ve decided to go online and I surprisingly found out that some of my classmates were like, celebrating the free day. XD Minutes later, I’ve noticed a flash of light when I looked at our windows. After maybe two seconds, I’ve heard a thunder roar. -_- Scared because thinking that what happened last night would happen again, I quickly turned the computer off.  You are probably laughing right now but sorry, that’s what Astraphobics would do. 😛 Going back, I went to my bed and hid my face behind a pillow. I fell asleep and woke up with a HEADACHE. -_- My hair was still wet when I accidentally feel asleep so that’s the reason why it happened. Ugh.

   Proom, proom. The noisy-yet-mechanically-good-in-condition tricycle that Natania and Jenish rode didn’t really help to make their first day of school perfect, but they were still thankful that they had gotten a ride fast.

   Minutes later, they’d gotten to school, Rocketeer Academy.

   “Thank you for the ride.” said Natania as she dragged her bag, slipped her hand inside the pocket of and pulled out the tricycle payment. Jenish pulled out her trolley.

   “Wow, ate. This new school looks like a lot bigger than Apple Dreams Montesorri.” said Nishi, amazed of the school’s structure.

   “Oh yeah, it really does look a little bit huge than our old school. Come on, we can’t wait to see the inside, can we?” said Tania.

   “I can’t!” Nishi followed.

   When they entered the green-and-yellow themed school, their eyes flickered with delight. It was a lot bigger.. and was more exquisite than their old school back when they were in a different city.

   “The playground! So sweet!” said Jenish in glee.

   “You still like playgrounds?” asked Natania.

   “Ate, what grade am I in?” said Jenish with arms across her chest.

   “4th grade.” said Natania, pretending to be bored by the question.

   “Yeah, so it’s still okay for me to like playgrounds, right?” asked Jenish, but not particularly asking.. just annoying her cousin with a proud smile.

   “Yeah, sure. Let’s go find what your section is.” Tania changed the topic.

   Before they could go near the bulletin boards where the list of sections per level are, a boy dressed in a uniform (of course) with short yet shaggy hair approached the two girls.

   Tania gasped.

   “Enzo?!”

   “Hey, Tania.” the shaggy-haired boy said.

   “Why are you here? Are you going to study?” asked Tania excitedly.

   “Yeah.” responded Enzo with a big smile.

   “Is that kuya Enzo? Your best friend in Apple Dreams?” Jenish blushed.

   “Yes, Jenish. So Enzo, shall we search for our sections?”

   “Yup.” Enzo walked with Tania and Jenish toward the boards.

   “Let’s search for Jenish’s first.” said Tania.

   “Here it is,” said Enzo, pointing at Jenish’s name in a bond paper located on the board. “You are in section Amethyst, room 8-B.”

   “Okay, thank you so much kuya Enzo! You are so kind. Bye, ate!” said Nishi.

   “Bye.” said Tania, unable to hide the smile on her face because of her cousin’s feelings for her best friend.

   “Look, I just saw our section. It’s Topaz, room 12-A.” said Enzo.

   “Our section? You mean we’re classmates?”

   “Yup!”

   Jenish and Enzo excitedly went up the stairs to room 12-A.

Rocketeer Academy, Aquamarine room 21-C

   After Christian searched for his section downstairs, he went up to his classroom with his best friend, Cherry, who was his classmate.. AGAIN.

   “I so heart this!” Cherry said.

   “What do you “heart?” Christian asked while checking his school bag, in case he’d forgotten something.

   “Number one, our fab classroom; number 2, our ah-dorable section name; number 3, you and I, classmates again.” Cherry said, looking at Christian.

   “What’s ah-dorable about Aquamarine?” Christian said, his head faced to the insides of his bag.

   “It’s your birthstone.”

   “So?”

   “So? You are my best friend, silly.” giggled Cherry.

   Christian didn’t say a word, yet still didn’t get it. He didn’t get what those words meant. Cherry really had feelings for the lad..

Sneeze it, will ya?

Okay, so after 5 years, err I mean, after weeks of postlessness (I made that word up), I’m back for good. I don’t wanna trash this precious blog out. 🙂 I just lacked ideas, encouragement, time and perseverance. 😦 Because no one even bothered to read the story (Signed With Love) of mine. Now, I feel what authors feel when they go low on book/novel sales. Ouchy. Drama. 🙂

*Achoo*. *Sniff*. Oh man. I have colds. Yesterday, my throat started hurting. When I woke up this morning (5 am), I felt my ears in sore, too. I’ve felt that I didn’t want to get up and start the day because being sick is a total frown-giver. 😦 But God encouraged me. 😀 I told my mom my condition. Minutes later, I was eating fried rice with hotdogs and Koko Krunch cereals that my nanay and mommy prepared (thank you!). Maybe even sickness couldn’t beat my love for foodies, eh? :”> 🙂

Maybe, I got my colds when we swam last Saturday at Splash Island. I remembered when it rained yet continued in swimming in the Balsa River anyway because it was soooo much fun! 😀 I was with Kim and mommy when when it rained while swimming. I remembered the “donuts” that we wore as salbabidas. We would change and change our donuts. 🙂

Maybe, another reason why I got colds are my sleepless nights. You know, everytime I go to bed at past twelve this summer? Oh well..

 I don’t blame having puyat nights and especially our SWIMMING for having colds, because I had fun doing those two things and those two activities made me smile. I just hope this sickness goes away fast (particularly before school starts on the 13th), though.

   “Aaaah…” Natania yawns while waking up, stopping the noise of the clock. She checks herself in the mirror while wearing silly, kind-of-worn-out pajamas that her aunt gave her. Tania’s aunt, Nina and her uncle, James, had raised her since she was still about four and a half years old. Nina’s a sister of his dad, Cesar.

   Tania’s parents split when she was only four years old. Her mom, Tina, needed to work out of the country ever since. Her dad also had to work out of the country and he did create his own, new family there. Tania’s mom, aunt and uncle supported her needs- education, clothes, food and everything. But that didn’t stop Natania from continuing her life. Even if her parents weren’t always there to guide and support her, she did everything to have a good life.

   Tania immediately walked down to eat breakfast. While she was setting the table, she could smell eggs and hear the sound of rice being fried. Tania talked to her aunt who’s cooking.

   “Mama, are those scrambled eggs with fried rice?”, asked Tania with a growling tummy.

   “You have good senses, dear.” answered aunt Nina.

   “Hihi. Thanks, mama. May I prepare the drinks?” insisted the girl.

  “Yes, you may, Natania. I’m quite craving for coffee today.” said uncle James while reading the daily gazette.

   “As always papa! Haha.” Tania said smilingly while stirring with the use of a stainless steel spoon.

   “Food is ready, folks. Tania, could you call Nishi or wake her up if she’s still sleeping? You two need to be early on your first day.” requested Nina.

   “Sure, ma.” said Natania.

   Natania had gone up the stairs and woke her 10-year-old cousin, Nishi up. Nishi was also smart and an achiever like her older cousin that’s why she was also able to get a scholarship grant.

   Then, the whole family had eaten and talked about the first day of school matters.

   “Natania,” said aunt Nina.

   “Yes?” answered Tania.

   “You should remember that entering a new exclusive school isn’t that hard. Don’t be pressured. And in case someone teases you because of your scholarship or our financial status, don’t fight back, okay? I know you are a very kind girl, Tania. I’m just making reminders. Just tell me if somebody teases you. Just snob them if you could. But if you can teach them a lesson by explaining, it’s somehow better.” explained and reminded by aunt Nina.

   Before Natania could thank her, Nina had spoken again.

   “And you, Nishi. I know that you’re just in 4th grade, and your classmates won’t be thinking about that. But my baby, if you need anything, tell your Mama, okay? Enjoy your new environment and don’t be afraid to make new friends. “ said Nina, a little bit more touching than what she said to Tania.

   “Thank you mommy mama! Haha. I love you.” responded Nishi sweetly.

   “Thank you too, mama. I’ll keep those in mind. I love you, too.” added Natania.

   “Thanks, sweeties. I love you two.” said Nina with a mother-is-proud smile.

   “Hey, how about me?” surprisingly said James.

   “We love you!” said Nina, Nishi and Natania altogether.

   “Haha. James loves you three, too.” jokingly but sincerely responded by the coffee-crave-r.

   Natania was so heart-fluttered when she immediately thought of her parents. She wondered how happier it would be if they were the ones whom she said “I love you” to. Natania had already spoken that three words to them before, but she just wondered how it would be if they were in the same place as aunt Nina and uncle James.

   After a few more preparations, Natania and Nishi were finally ready. Nina kissed the two goodbye while James high-fived.

   “Oh yuh!” said Tania and Jenish (Nish’s real first name) in union while waiting for a tricycle to ride to school.

   “Sir, please wake up now, you need to get ready. It’s the start of classes. Please get up now.” said Mimi the housemaid, quickly tapping Ianne’s arm to wake him up, as commanded by his mother, Trixie Dee.

   “Okay, okay. I’ll wake up now. Just please give me sometime alone. I’ll go down in a bit.” insisted Ianne.

   “Okay, Sir.” responded Mimi and went down.

    Ting, ting, ting... rings the Blackberry phone of Ianne.

   “Yo nigga,” answered Ianne. It was Cherry, Ianne’s friend since childhood, who secretly likes him.

   “Good morning Christian!!! How’s my best friend?” greeted Cherry in an energetic voice.

   “I’m good. And by the way, why do you always call me Christian instead of Ianne? Seriously, Cherry.”

   “Uh, well. Cherry and Christian both start with a C! Hihi.” said Cherry.

   “So?” answered Ianne, confused.

   “Nothin’. Oh, have you eaten already?” asked Cherry, obviously concerned.

   “Not yet. I was about to go down when you called.” said Ianne.

   “Oh, so I must be-“ Cherry was cut off.

   “No way, I’m glad you called today.” continued Ianne immediately. He did not want his best friend to think that she was a disturbance in his morning schedule because Cherry was somehow a sensitive girl.

    “Thanks. Oh, I have to go now. I have to prepare. We have to eat. See you at Rocketeer Academy! Again. Haha.” said Cherry with a light blush on her face.

   “‘Kay. Goodbye.” said Ianne then shut the phone.

   Ianne had fixed his too-messy-even-for-a-boy hair and went down, heading straight to the dining room.

   When he went down, his mom was glaring at him, and so did the housemaids. A certain housemaid named Maya was beside his dining chair.

   “What took you so long?” said Mommy Trixie.

   “Sorry mom, I just needed to fix up my hair.. and Cherry called me.” explained Ianne.

   “Oh, well. It’s Cherry anyway. It’s okay. I’m sorry if I glared at you like that, Christian. I was just so excited to let you taste me and Maya’s breakfast dish collaboration. I helped her cook today so that your first day in senior year would be extra-special.” Trixie said proudly, with a wink.

   Maya smiled back at Trixie and Ianne.

    “Nice, mom. I’ll go taste it.” said Ianne. He then ate the special milk-dipped and butter-cooked  french toast with ham.

   “Wow! Mom, Maya. This is great. And to tell you honestly, you really didn’t need to add ham. The toast alone was mouthwatering already.” said Ianne, continuously eating the remaining toasts.

   “Thank you, Sir.” said Maya.

   “That’s my boy. I love you so much, Christian.” said Trixie.

   “I love you too, mom. Wait, where’s dad?” responded Ianne.

   “We’re here!” shouted Ron, Christian’s dad; Ella, Christian’s older sister; and Waynes, Christan’s ten-year-old sister. “Sorry, we’re late.” said Charles. He then added, “I even woke up earlier than the two. Thank God they’re not that late.”

   “Okay, okay. Let’s eat!” Trixie said excitedly.

   “Hey kuya, it’s not fair that you’re gonna finish first. You didn’t wait for us.” said Waynes.

   “Well, that’s what early birds get.” Christian winked at his sister.

   Waynes rolled her eyes saying “whatever”. Then it was followed by Ella’s glare at her brother.

   The family had eaten and the children prepared for school right after.

   “Bye mom!” Christian, Ella, Waynes and daddy Ron said to mommy Trixie. They had been kissed goodbye and drove off with a Toyota Adventure.

At first, I did not have smooth ventures

It was difficult to breathe in and out

Knowing that some creepy creatures

Could eat me up without having the urge to shout.

I had some accidental failures

And forgotten some steps I learned

Yet with all of your guiding gestures

I had stood again with knowledge earned.

My petals can serve as my gray matter

So beautiful in large number

And guess what will happen later:

My stem will even grow taller!

Now, I can proudly say

That surviving winter is a few steps away

Glad that I’m almost out of the feud

And you are continuing in helping me become

FULLY BLOOMED. ♥

   Tick tock, kring!!! The clock started to ring as it should at five o’clock in the morning, waking Charlotte Natania Domingo up. She needed to go to school early like any other “good schoolgirl”. Tania or Charlee, as she’s commonly called, is a simple girl with huge dreams. Even though she didn’t come from a rich family, from the very start, she always tried her best to achieve what she wanted in life and reach her aspirations one step at a time. One proof is that she became the First Honor when she was in 2nd year high school. Not only that, she had always been a representative for their school competitions.

   Yes, Tania’s family wasn’t a money-showered one- but she was able to study in an exclusive school because of her scholarship grant since she started high school. Yet when she was an incoming 3rd year student, she had to transfer to another exclusive school because they were moving also.

   Tick tock, tang!!! The digital alarm with a Chinese New Year kind of tone struck the ears of John Christian Dee. While Tania was a Filipino-Spanish, Ianne (as he was called) was a Filipino-Chinese. He came from a wealthy family and they always had high expectations for him. That’s why Ianne was always pushed to do good THE BEST. Because both of his parents are successful, people also expected him to be the same. And it is good that he remained consistent with that. He was a 3-year MVP (Most Valuable Player) in his basketball team in school, the Green Rockets when he was in grade school up to when he was in 3rd year high school. He also joined contests and won about eighty percent of them.

  Though Ianne was a little bit snobbish, deep inside, he still had kindness. He was fun to be with, but he easily got mad in some things.

   Ianne had gotten anything he wanted. At some times, he didn’t even need to tell his parents what he wanted- they automatically gave these to him, the money and other kinds of stuff. He was nearly spoiled rotten.

But almost everything in him just changed when he had met the girl who transformed him.
